It’s a three-father Thursday in the\u00a0#40Days40Dads project<\/a>, as I make up for skipped days! Today’s second featured father is Brian. I don’t know Brian in real life<\/span>1<\/sup><\/a><\/span>, but he somehow happened upon my blog and gave some solid\u00a0dadvice. Thanks, Brian!<\/p>\n

#31:\u00a0Brian<\/h2>\n

Brian\u00a0is the father of a 3.5-year-old daughter, a 2-year-0ld son and a 4-month-old daughter.<\/strong><\/p>\n

What was the moment when you first felt like a father?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The day my first daughter was born.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

What’s your favorite part about being a father?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Getting to love more than I thought possible. <\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

What’s the hardest part about being a father?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Disciplining my kids. <\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

What’s the dumbest\/funniest thing that your kid has cried about or fought with you over?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yikes. Kids bawl about the weirdest things. My son likes to burst into tears when he doesn’t get what he wants. Very convincing actor though. Maybe he’ll have a future in acting. <\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

What are you most proud of having taught\/shared with your kids or what are you most looking forward to teaching\/sharing with them?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

I want my kids to know their Catholic faith and love as Jesus did. My biggest goal for them is for them to get to Heaven. <\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

What’s your favorite thing about your kids?<\/strong><\/p>\n

My favorite thing about my kids is seeing them smile and watching them make loving decisions. <\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

If you could go back in time and give yourself a piece of advice when you first became a father, what would you say?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Don’t worry so much about the logistics. Spend more time holding and just being with them. <\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
